Meet Our Physicians
James A. Bledsoe, DO

Dr. Bledsoe joins South Ogden Center for Family Medicine after serving 11 years in the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Bledsoe earned his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. His clinical interests are diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol disorders, depression, anxiety, asthma/allergies, sports injuries, and skin diseases.
Stephen J. Bruce, MD

Dr. Stephen Bruce is originally from Ogden. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska, followed by a three year residency at the Illinois Masonic Medical Centers. Dr. Bruce specializes in preventive medicine, cancer screening, child development and issues of aging.
John Hemmersmeier, MD

Dr. John Hemmersmeier received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. After medical school he completed a residency in family medicine at Duke University Medical Center,, one of the top medical centers in the country. While at Duke, he received special training in quality care programs. Dr. Hemmersmeier's clinical interests are physician-patient communication, management of chronic illnesses, older patients, pediatrics, sports injuries, and prevention and health maintenance programs.
Michael D. Woolman, MD

Dr. Michael Woolman earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan. He completed his internship and residency training in the family practice program at Midland Hospital. He specializes in sports medicine, pediatrics, preventive medicine and health care for older adults.

Michael Severance, PA-C

Michael Severance PA-C, ATC is a graduate of the University of Utah physician assistant program. Mike is certified as a PA and in Sports Medicine. His areas of specialized training include; sports and athletic injuries and evaluations, pre-participation physicals for sports and athletics, and non-operative musculo-skeletal injuries.
Natalie Ahrenstorff, PA-C

Natalie Ahrenstorff, originally a native of Ogden. Natalie has spent time living in Southern California, Oregon, and Washington before deciding to come back home to Utah to establish her career and live near her family.
Her medical/specialty interests are varied and she enjoys the wide range of issues that are seen in family practice. She places an importance on helping patients become well-informed and educated of their own medical conditions.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, participating in and attending sporting events, traveling, and being involved with her church and community. She also has enjoyed serving on medical trips abroad, and looks forward to continuing that in the future.
Tim Katsma, PA-C

Tim Katsma joined our team in November 2008. Tim completed his education at Western Michigan University. He then spent time in Polson, Montana and Salmon, Idaho. Before coming to Ogden, he was employed at Round Mountain Gold Mine in Round Mountain Nevada as the only provider in that area.
